The idea of shooting in an "urban" environment can be a bit foreign to traditionalists. Admittedly, choosing to have portraits taken in the concrete jungle is not for everyone.... and from a client perspective, "what you're going to get" might seem a bit vague. But I have to say, I'm quite partial to the idea, especially for my teenage clients. I love to watch them rock it out and I like to think that we have fun! So, I'm going to post a few photos here to help you understand what shooting urban looks like through my lens... just a few photos from a Thursday night session downtown Burlington. Keep in mind, these kids don't model for Ford or Elite. (although they may just have to start! ;) They were just particularly nice kids (we'll call them "Jack & Jill"), enthusiastic enough to take direction and put up with my wandering as we searched for "good light" and interesting backgrounds. (Stay tuned for a future post featuring "Jack & Jill : lakeside".)
